Contingency plan is crucial

Contingency plan: have a back-up

Contingency plan. How many of you at home or at work have some form of contingency plan? This plan is put in place to provide a back-up system or set of workflows that allow you to meet your main objective when your prime plan does not happen.

This type of planning is critical when you are in a position not to fail! Whatever your needs the key is to anticipate the various things that can go wrong and to put in place various options for action so that you can overcome the issues. The key is also to practise using these systems so that they are available when you need them. This forward planning can really come in handy as things do go wrong and by being proactive you save a lot of costs and other bad results. This is a great example of planning “with the end in mind!”

“He who every morning plans the transaction of the day and follows out that plan carries a thread that will guide him through the labyrinth of the most busy life. But where no plan is laid, where the disposal of time is surrendered merely to the chance of incidents, chaos will soon reign.” - Victor Hugo
