Clinics to close for staff training
Clinics at Hamilton and Warwick Health Centres will be closed in the afternoons while staff undergo training on Monday and Tuesday, March 14 and 15.
Maternal health, communicable disease control, travel health and child health sessions will be affected by the closures, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health, Seniors and Environment.
It stated in a press release: “The Department of Health aspires to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism. In order to deliver high quality care, clinical staff must possess the knowledge, practical skills and must deal with our clients in a compassionate, respectful and empowering manner.
“In order to fulfil this mandate, the Ministry of Health, Seniors and Environment is advising the public that staff will be participating in important skills-building training during the afternoons of Monday, March 14, and Tuesday, March 15.
“As a result, the regular clinics at Hamilton Health Centre and Warwick Health Centre will not be held.”
