Home invasion in Paget

A home invasion was reported to police at 4pm on Saturday in the vicinity of South Road, Paget.

Two men smashed a glass door at the home, demanding money of a man and a woman, before fleeing on foot after the male victim challenged them.

The first suspect is described as black male, 5ft 11in tall, armed with a hammer and wearing a dark coloured hoodie.

The second suspect was described simply as being a black male.

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who may have information to call 295-0011, or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

It was the Island’s second home invasion in a matter of days after two men attacked a 63-year-old man in the area of Friswell’s Hill, Pembroke, entering his home and beating him in the early hours of Friday.

The victim was left with serious leg injuries.

In that instance, the first suspect was described as being about 5ft 10in with a slim build, and was wearing a dark hoodie. The second suspect was described only as having had a red hoodie.
