Cash was stolen in a robbery at Arnold’s supermarket in Pembroke this evening.

A man entered the store, in St John’s Road, and forcefully gained access to the cash register while a cashier was completing a transaction, shortly before 9.15pm.

According to police, he stole an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving, although it is thought he did not brandish a weapon.

The suspect is described as tall and brown, wearing a green tracksuit. Police said it was unclear whether he left the scene on foot or in a vehicle.
