Fourways pastry shop on the move
former Marks and Spencer store in Hamilton.
Fourways' new site, known as Washington Mall West, is only a matter of yards from its previous location but, with an area of nearly 1,100 square feet, is double the size.
Mr. Werner Kienberger, Fourways Pastry Shop's general manager, said the business has extended its opening hours.
"We're now open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, whereas before we closed at 5 p.m.,'' he said.
"We've also extended our menu and are now able to offer hot dishes for the first time,'' he said. "These hot meals are cooked at Fourways Inn in Paget and brought into Hamilton.'' Customers can either eat them at the 70-seat Pastry Shop or take them home in special containers.
"This new take-out service is ideal for people leaving work who want to eat a well-prepared meal as soon as they get home, but don't have the time to prepare it,'' said Mr. Kienberger. They can simply heat up the meals in their microwave oven and it's ready to eat.'' MOVING ALONG -- The Fourways pastry shop has moved from the Washington Mall to slightly larger accommodations at Washington Mall West on Reid Street.
