Prestigious awards for Butterfield
Butterfield Bank and its international subsidiaries have picked up two awards from Citywealth, the Britain-based publishers of wealth-management industry news and directories.
Butterfield was named as the Caribbean’s trust company of the year, and also the region’s private bank of the year. It was runner-up in the trust company of the year (Switzerland) category.
“Wealth management and fiduciary services are core businesses for Butterfield Group, and we are pleased that our international private banking and trust operations are, once again, being recognised with prestigious Citywealth awards,” said Michael Collins, Butterfield’s chief executive officer.
“I congratulate our teams in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and The Bahamas, along with their colleagues in Guernsey and Switzerland, with whom they work closely to provide innovative financial and fiduciary solutions for our clients, on this significant accomplishment.”
Bob Moore, executive vice-president and head of group trust, said: “Through Butterfield’s network of individually incorporated trust companies in key financial centres, we are well placed to create bespoke solutions for our clients that draw upon our access to international expertise and structures.
“Butterfield’s multi-jurisdictional capabilities are a key organisational strength and a major factor in the success and growth of our Caribbean and Swiss businesses whose accomplishments have been recognised by Citywealth.”
