Open meetings on impact of America’s Cup
Two public meetings are coming up as part of an ongoing consultation on the environmental impact assessment for the 35th America’s Cup.
The first will be held on Tuesday at 5.30pm in the Anglican Cathedral in Hamilton, with another meeting at 6pm on Wednesday in the Oracle Team USA Base at Freeport Drive in Dockyard.
The draft America’s Cup master plan, along with other drafts, will be up for public viewing at each meeting.
Bermuda Environmental Consulting Limited, who are conducting the impact assessment on behalf of the ACBDA, will host the meetings and present the plans.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Jack Ward, president of the assessing company, said the consultation would be a critical part of the assessment, and the community’s feedback would be welcome.
The assessment will be included in the final planning application, expected to be ready in early March.
The public can visit www.acbda.bm to get more information about the meetings and review the draft documents and plans for AC35.
