Workshop on eBusiness this month
The next in a series of Inspire eBusiness workshops is set to take place on January 19.
The fifth in the seven-part series, sponsored by the Department of E-Commerce and coordinated by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, will cover “Processing Online Payments and Cyber Security” and feature a panel with speakers from the Bank of Butterfield, HSBC, First Atlantic Commerce and Lili Bermuda.
The seminar will cover the benefits of implementing an online payment system, and the necessary precautions that need to be taken to protect the security of consumers and the business.
Vivian Curtis, senior relationship manager at First Atlantic Commerce, said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the Inspire eBusiness panel to address online payments and cyber security.
“We provide secure and robust online payment processing for merchants on Island and around the world and I hope to share some insights into what is requires to provide a secure payment experience for merchants’ customers.”
The event is scheduled to take place at the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, and will run from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Upcoming seminar topics include “finding financing for your business and “how to build your e-commerce presence”.
The Inspire eBusiness initiative was launched in 2014 to support and encourage the development of local e-commerce business in Bermuda. It aims to educate existing and potential entrepreneurs about the process of starting an online business and setting up e-commerce on their websites.
