Berkeley students attend workshops
The Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority hosted a variety of workshops entitled “Pathways to Your Future” for S4 Students at the Berkeley Institute on November 7.
The senior students had the option of choosing four of six workshops offered at the event.
The first workshop was “The Hospitality Industry” hosted by Andrea Simons Haffar. The second workshop offered “Time Management/Work Skills/Professional dress” that was presented by ex-Berkeleyite Ebony Fray.
Ms Fray’s workshop informed students about how to keep their jobs. The third workshop was “How to Apply for Scholarships” offered by former Berkeleyite Chauntae Whitter.
The fourth workshop was entitled “Countdown to Your Future” presented by Cheryl Griffin, who focused on identifying an ideal college for one’s skill set.
The fifth workshop was hosted by Calvin Blakendal and was entitled “Sports and College”. Students were made aware of the success stories of overseas students/athletes.
The last workshop was “PACE — Bermuda College Offerings for Trade” presented by Thaao Dill. Students learnt about trades offered at Bermuda College and how to build relationships in their field of study.
