Lunchtime lecture series: 'Contemporary Art Of The Caribbean: The Case for Jamaica" by Veerlee Poupeye, Ph.D. This lecture introduces and critiques key developments in Caribbean contemporary art since the 1980s, with a special emphasis on Jamaica. 12:30 to 1:30 pm. The Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society presents Intimate Apparel, a play by Lynn Nottage about Esther, a black seamstress in New York City at the turn of the 20th Century who dreams of opening a beauty parlour for black women and finding the right man.
