League... but one title did elude them in the final league game of the season last Saturday.

Top scorer Des Minors, trying to pip Craig Crichlow of Exiles for the scoring title, fell short of the mark despite scoring twice in the 7-2 win over Devonshire All-Stars.

However, Crichlow went past the 30-goal mark for the first time when he netted a hat-trick as Exiles got past Valley 4-2. That took Crichlow's tally for the season to 31 while Minors finished with 27 goals.

Also scoring for Exiles, who were promoted along with PHC, was Blain Tucker while Sean Smith and Kevin Isaac replied for Valley.

Raiders made it 18 wins out of 18 when they hammered All-Stars. Minors scored his 27 goals in 15 games with four hat-tricks to take his tally for the Raiders to 113 in five seasons. He has now scored 189 goals in eight Commercial seasons and has been the leading scorer on five occasions.

Substitute Yuossef Boucetta also scored two goals for the Raiders on Saturday while single tallies came from Chris Furbert, Brian Anderson and Quinton Ming.

James Tweed and Richard Jones replied for All-Stars.

Belco showed up with only one player for their match with Somerset Extros who had the minimum seven players.

YOUTH SQUASAH PROGRAMME STARTS SQU Youth squash programme starts A squash skills programme for youth, which has proved to be a success in the UK, is being officially launched in Bermuda at the squash courts in Devonshire.

Upon completion of each skill level, achieved by passing the skills test, the child will receive a certificate for their achievement.

Each certificate is signed by Sports Minister Dennis Lister. Director of Squash, Jane Parker, brought the programme to Bermuda from the UK and has been using the programme with squash club members for the past few months.
