In a gritty 1-1 draw Julie Monks scored for Cardinals and Marcia Ford for Orioles.
In an evenly-matched `A' League contest Cardinals clawed their way to a nail-biting 2-1 victory.
Margaret Leonard of Cardinals scored the first goal of the game at the midway point of the first-half. Orioles replied early in the second half through Jackie Marshall from a goal-mouth scramble.
Just when it looked as if the score was going to end that way, Maria Pitchery of Cardinals took a long corner pass and scored.
In the lone `B' League encounter on Sunday, league champion Bluebirds were surprisingly flat and were beaten 3-0 by PHC Canaries.
Canaries dominated the entire game as all their games came in the second half through Sam Adams, Lisa Haynes and Val Protheroe.
In a `A' League match, Canaries saved their best for last in a season-ending game against NVCC Longtails. Longtails got on the scoreboard first with a dribbler from Lisa Desilva but Rhonda Rawlins of Canaries tied the game just before the end of the first half with a blistering drive off the short corner.
Longtails regrouped early in the second half with a terrific goal by Lisa Rawlins only to see Emma Garon of Canaries make it 2-2.
SNOOKER SNO Warwick Workman's Club II qualified for the final playoff spot by nipping St.
Georges 3-2 recently. Stan Seymour led Warwick with an overpowering 62-26 win over Jan Winch in the fifth frame.
St. Georges will face First Division champions OCC 1 in the first playoff game while Second Division champion Queens II play Nationals.
Bermuda will play host to the 18th International Snooker League Tournament at the Old Colony Club from May 22-29. The tournament will include top amateur players representing Canada, US, England, Halifax, Chicago, Scotland and New York. Bermuda will have three entries in this three-man competition, two members from the national team and one from OCC.
National team players will be chosen based on results from local tournaments.
Players interested in qualifying must complete an entry form, available at OCC, no later than April 9.

YACHTING SLG Laser racing resumed in Hamilton harbour on Sunday after a break from the Bermuda Yachting Association's Frosbite series.
A total of 12 boats hit the starting line with an 8-12 knot easterly breeze blowing down the harbour.
The first race was taken from the start by Scott Mello who beat everyone to the left corner and never looked back.
After Mello's first race shocker things began to get very close with Peter Shrubb, David Kuhn, Somers Kempe, Brett Wright and Adam Barboza all tasting victory. As the final race drew to a close it was Barboza carrying the low point total followed by Kuhn, Wright and then the hard-charging Kempe.
Barboza wound up winning three races, Wright two and Shrubb, Kuhn and Kempe one apiece. Racing continues on Sunday starting at noon.
BASKETBALL BAS It was a night of firsts and how sweet it was for two teams tasting their first titles at the Bermuda Secondary School Federation Inter-school Basketball tournament on Friday.
Warwick Secondary School, playing in their first-ever tournament, were surprise champions after defeating Mount Saint Agnes Saints 44-40.
The championship tilt was the ideal ending to 36 sizzling basketball games in the tournament.
Featuring fierce determination on both sides, with exciting end-to-end action, Saints took an early lead and were ahead 10-8 after the first quarter. Warwick put it all together in the second quarter, outscoring Mount St. Agnes 14-8 taking a 22-18 lead into the half.
The most exciting moments of the game were reserved for the last seconds, with the Saints delivering six unanswered points for their side but Warwick desperately hung on to capture their first championship.
Daron Steede was the hero for Warwick, leading the way with 18 points. In Junior Varsity Girls' action, league runner-up Saltus Grammar School topped Warwick Academy.
Saltus outscored Warwick in the final quarter to clinch their first title.
Berkeley Institute had an easy time over Warwick Academy, winning the Junior Boys' contest. Berkeley outscored Warwick 16-2 and 17-6 in the second half running up the score to 51-20 for the title.
Mount Saint Agnes and Warwick Academy squared off in the Varsity Girls' showdown. Mount Saint Agnes stormed back to regain their championship form and won 42-38.
DARTS DRT The Bermuda Darts Association will be holding an Open Doubles Calcutta tournament at BAA Clubhouse at 1pm on Sunday.
CRICKET CRI The St. George's Cricket Club will be holding junior (under 17) training sessions at Wellington Oval every Monday and Wednesday from 5 p.m, beginning today.
NETBALL NET Netts retained their overall knockout title on Sunday when they stopped Olympic Panthers 24-9 in the final at Bernard Park.
Netts had the luck of the draw as, after beating Wolves by default in the preliminary round on Saturday, they received a bye to the final.
Panthers went the long route, beating PCC 22-10 in the quarter finals and then edged by Coca Cola 24-21 in the semi finals. Preliminary round results: Wolves defaulted to Netts; Coca Cola 55, Boulevard 3; Panthers 25, Hamilton Parish 13; PCC 24, Aico 23; North Village 30, Warwick Redbirds 14.
