Eight luxury cottages and a swimming pool bordered by cabanas has been proposed for a corner of the Horizons and Cottages resort in Paget.

The new cottages at the historic cottage colony will have two floors above ground featuring a pair of en suite bedrooms with the master bedroom including a balcony, and the cottages will also have a basement with multiple storage rooms.

It is proposed to build the eight cottages in the northern corner of the site which will entail a slight relocation of one of the Horizon Golf Course tee boxes.

Plans have been submitted by Peppercorn Development Limited for the additions to the cottage colony, which borders South Road.

A curved-design nine-feet deep swimming pool, along with cabanas for pool users, is to be built near to the new cottages in the proposal that is now to be considered by the Planning Applications Board.

Each of the cottages would have a total of 3,789 square feet across two living floors and the basement area.

To make room for the new cottages an existing building at the northern tip of the Horizon property site would need to be demolished.
