The Ministry of Public Works will hold its semi-annual special waste drop-off event this Friday and Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to bring compact fluorescent light bulbs, old pesticides, hobby chemicals, outdated medicines or anything else with a hazardous or warning label to Tynes Bay on Palmetto Road, Devonshire, between 9am and 4pm.

Under the ministry’s waste management plan, all special waste items are sent overseas for safe disposal.
