Police: race weekend advisories
Police will keep a strong presence on land and sea during the America’s Cup World Series this weekend, with a complement of officers and reserves along with the full police boat fleet.
Boats should follow directions issued by the Royal Bermuda Regiment and civilian racecourse marshals. All will fly green ACBDA flags and will be easily identifiable.
It is an offence, under the minister’s authority, for mariners to enter restricted areas, and a five-knot order is in place for Hamilton harbour and the area around the racecourse.
Marine police will be on hand to support regiment and civilian racecourse marshals.
The flying of drones, or any radio controlled unmanned air craft, is strictly prohibited in any area around the Great Sound, by authority of the Civil Aviation Authority. The restriction stands until Monday.
