Revised America’s Cup ferry schedule
The Department of Marine and Ports last night released a new schedule for the coming America’s Cup weekend with additional service in the evenings.
However a spokeswoman for the department said that services could be cancelled for several hours if the races are forced to move into Hamilton Harbour.
The new schedules shows additional ferries between Dockyard and Hamilton, with service continuing past midnight on Friday and Saturday, with the last ferry leaving Hamilton at 11.30pm and 12.30am respectively. Meanwhile a 7pm ferry will be added on Sunday.
Meanwhile service to Paget will also be extended with the last ferry departing Hamilton at 11pm on Friday and 12.30am on Saturday night, with the ferry servicing Salt Kettle, Darrell’s Wharf and Belmont.
The spokeswoman however added: “In the event that the America’s Cup World Series races are moved to Hamilton Harbour, all ferry service will be cancelled between 12pm and 4pm on that day.”
