Prize for the first Millennium baby
The hoopla over having the first Millennium baby has invaded Bermuda.
The Donald Smith ravel Connection group will make an award to the first baby born in Bermuda in the year 2000.
The group will bestow $2,000 worth of travel services to the headline infant.
In the event that there is more than one Year 2000 baby, the group will examine the official birth records to ascertain which baby was indeed the first one.

The May 1 symposium kicks off at 9.30 a.m. and will feature presentations by internationally renowned scientists.
A 1 p.m. luncheon will follow the free symposium. The luncheon is $15 per person.

*** Saltus Senior School invites all to attend their New Orleans Night this Friday.
The event, which will take place in the Senior School Hall, will feature dinner and entertainment by the Saltus Jazz Band.
All proceeds will go towards the Saltus Music Tour to the UK in November.

*** Interested in learning more about the many faces of learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders? The Reading Clinic will host a Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder conference this Thursday and Friday at the Bermuda College's North Hall.
Speakers at the conference will include Dr. Edward Hallowell, Dr. Blanche Podhajski, David Admire and Ronald Hume.
Admission for Thursday evening's presentation, which runs from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m., is $5.
Friday's 9.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. presentations will cost $10 and includes refreshments. To reserve tickets 292-3938 or purchase them at the door.
*** The Bermuda Paralympic Equestrian Team cordially invites you to join them for an evening of dining and entertainment.
On May 2 at the Elbow Beach Surf Club, on Front Street in Hamilton, a scrumptious buffet dinner, complete with wine, will be served at 7.30 p.m.
Dinner will be followed by a hilarious performance by the talented comedian Jimmy Keys.
The bar will open at 7 p.m. and all drinks served before and after dinner will be at Happy Hour prices.
Tickets are $100 with all proceeds going towards sending the team to the World Championship for the Disabled in Denmark in July and then to the Paralympics in Sydney, Australia 2000.

The Adult Education School 1958-1999 Yearbook celebrates over 40 years of second chances.
