The Southside Police Station was cordoned off yesterday after a man walked into the building with a “suspicious envelope”.
However after being examined by experts, the contents were not deemed to be a threat.
A police spokesman said: “At a few minutes after 4pm today a male walked into the Southside Police Station and stated he was in possession of what is being described as a suspicious envelope.
“After the suspicious envelope was analysed by the government analyst and the Bermuda Fire Service it was deemed not to be a threat. The man subsequently was released from police custody.”
