A total of 4,900 shares worth $32,860 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

After losing two cents in value on Tuesday, Bank of Butterfield ended the day two cents (1.1 per cent) up at $1.77 after 3,000 shares sold.

Insurance firm BF&M saw 1,500 shares move, leaving its price unchanged at $16.98.

Utilities company Ascendant was also unchanged at $5.20 after 400 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 8.83 points (0.73 per cent) at 1,217.93.

The BSX Insurance Index closed down 11.74 points (0.75 per cent) at 1,551.20.
