Progressive Labour Party Member of Parliament Zane DeSilva called unsuccessfully for Yahaira Richards, wife of One Bermuda Alliance MP Sylvan Richards, to be removed from the House of Assembly’s public gallery.

Mr DeSilva objected to the presence of Ms Richards, miming for Speaker of the House Randy Horton the threatening gesture that he has alleged she made in his direction during the parliamentary debate on December 5, 2014.

However, Mr Horton declined, telling Mr DeSilva during Monday’s House sitting: “That matter has passed; we can’t go back to matters over and over ­— I appreciate your position.”
