Breaking News: 22-year-old man guilty of shooting at Yankee Rawlins

A young man has this afternoon been convicted by the unanimous verdict of a jury of shooting at Raymond “Yankee” Rawlins.

Anthony Swan, 22, has been remanded into custody and will be sentenced later.

The Supreme Court jury found him guilty of being the gunman who opened fire at Mr. Rawlins on Court Street in broad daylight last December 16.

The seven day long trial heard that the masked shooter was caught on CCTV cameras. Forensic evidence including gun shot residue and DNA eventually led to Swan being identified as the culprit.

Prosecutors described Swan as an associate of the notorious 42 gang and said he targeted the victim because of his link to Parkside.
