Sydney Mason has been called into tonight’s Pan Am Games gymnastics all-around finals at the Toronto Coliseum.
Mason had been on standby as a reserve after her impressive showing in last night’s qualifiers, finishing 27th out of 54 competitors, scoring 12.800 in the vault, 9.150 in the uneven bars, 10.100 in the beam and 11.200 in the floor exercise. Her total score was 43.250.
Duke Nelligan, the Bermuda Gymnastics Association’s head coach, said Mason was delighted to be returning to action in the medal round of the competition.
“Sydney is in all-around finals.” Nelligan said. “We are thrilled for the opportunity and so very proud of Sydney.”
The competition starts at 7.50pm Bermuda time.
