Guernsey too strong

Bermuda were defeated 3-0 by Guernsey in the quarter-finals of the men’s team event at the NatWest Island Games in Jersey yesterday.
Gavin Manders lost 1-6, 3-6 to Patrick Ogier, while David Thomas went down 6-2, 4-6, 0-1 to Rob West.
In the men’s doubles, Jack Keyes and Chris Weekes lost 1-6, 1-6 to Dominic McLuskey and Nico Robinson.
Bermuda won their heat game against Faroe Islands 2-1, with Manders beating Nicholas Petersen 6-3, 7-5, and Thomas defeating Paetur Dahl 6-1, 4-6.
In the men’s doubles, Manders and Thomas beat Dahl and Petersson 6-3, 6-3.
