Firefighters this evening extinguished a blaze in a home on Century Lane in Smith’s.

According to a Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman, the service responded to reports of the fire at about 9pm.

When they arrived on the scene, they saw flames in the second storey of the building.

The firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and, while no one was reportedly injured in the blaze, at least two rooms suffered extensive heat and smoke damage.
