Desperate to end ‘torture’ of whining kites
Dear Sir,
My thanks to “Disgruntled in Hamilton Parish” [“Kite noise unbearable”, Letters to the Editor, May 23] for saving me the trouble of reporting this hellishly annoying and inconsiderate “pastime”.
Their letter left out just one important detail — if it indeed applies to their particular misery — and that is that this torture goes on deep into the night, and is obviously inflicted on its victims by means of tying the kite to some immovable object. If anyone knows a way of eliminating the perpetrators of these airborne menaces, please weigh in on the subject.
The whining/droning/buzzing effect produced is truly unbelievable, but very aptly described by “Disgruntled” as like “a car racing around the Grand Prix tracks”.
Sympathiser, Pembroke
