A 22-year-old Pembroke man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.

According to a Police spokesman, first responders attended a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Parsons Road in Pembroke, near the near the junction with Fentons Drive, at about 8.30pm on Monday.

“Apparently the motorcyclist was injured, taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged,” the spokesman said.

“The car driver, believed to be a 22-year-old Pembroke man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact them on 295-0011.
