Donation boost for Bermuda Sloop Foundation

A $6,000 donation by the shipping company Bermuda Container Line will enable students from the Bermuda High School to take part in the Bermuda Sloop Foundation’s experiential learning programme over the next five years.
The company, which is owned by Neptune Group Ltd, supports organisations that give education at sea and promote careers in the maritime industry.
Over the years, a number of Sloop Foundation participants and crew have gone on to become cadets on the company’s container ship, the Oleander.
To date, Neptune Group has supported more than 20 cadets.
