About 16 officers will dress up as Sumo wrestlers for the fun event at the Police Recreation Club in Prospect, and they will take part in wrestling bouts until a winner is established.
However, percussion and dance group Rhythm Nation will also be providing entertainment, and there will be a raffle and auction, as well as a food stall and bar.
Among the items up for auction are two oil paintings by Vernon Clarke; a watercolour painting by Christopher Marson; a Verdite stone African sculpture, donated by Crisson and Hind Gallery, a mountain bike offered by Wheels, members? tent tickets for the Rugby Classic, and a year?s membership at the Olympic Club gym.
All money raised will be donated to the September 5 Victims? Fund, which is already at $4,000, and organisers of the event, Police Insp. Craig Morfitt and P.c. Shannell Astwood, said a meeting would be held with the families at a later date for them to decide how they would like the money to be used.
P.c. Stephen Symons, P.c. Nicole O?Connor, St. George?s Police station duty officer Gladys Saunders and stonemason Manuel Pacheco all perished after being swept off the Causeway in the East End at the height of Hurricane Fabian, about ten weeks ago. The fundraiser tomorrow begins at 7 p.m. and admission is $5.
