Insurance sector shares fall

Shares of insurance sector companies Argus Group and BF&M fell on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index.
Argus Group shares were down 40 cents (10 per cent) at $3.60 after 1,200 were traded, while BF&M’s stock slipped 60 cents (3.3 per cent) to close at $17.40 after 2,000 were exchanged.
Some 5,000 shares of Butterfield bank were exchanged, but with no change to the closing price of $1.90. and 900 shares of Ascendant Group were traded, but with no change to the closing price of $5.05.
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange closed down 12.54 points (0.95 per cent) at 1,308.04.
The BSX Insurance Index was up 12.84 points (0.82 per cent) at 1,587.80.
