The 54-year-old Smith’s parish man who was injured during an assault that occurred at about 10.30am yesterday on Cloverdale Road in Smith’s is recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Meanwhile, the suspect, a 58-year-old man remains in police custody.
