Mr. Mahy has been business development manager at Coutts & Co. for two years, after being trust manager for Bermuda Commercial Bank. He has 14 years trust experience and originally came to Bermuda from Guernsey in 1986.

He will manage trusts currently in place with the company and develop future business. State House provides traditional trustee services and related private client services and acts as executor and trustee of wills.

The company also acts as a trustee of pension and similar trusts and provide related management services. The local trust company provide services to Bermudian and international clients.

*** Schroders (Bermuda) Ltd. is pleased to announce that Mr. John E. McCauley has joined the firm as company secretary.

Since 1991, Mr. McCauley was CEO of Sotheby's Holdings Inc.'s subsidiary, Fine Art Insurance Ltd. Before that he was senior vice president and director of taxes for Sotheby's Holdings Inc. He also previously was vice president and director of taxes for Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc.

*** Ms Lisa Roberts and Mrs. Jane Smith recently received their designation as Certified General Accountants (CGA) during a banquet at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club.

President of the Bermuda chapter of the Canadian association, Mr. Roderick Bassett , said that "after successfully completing the CGA's comprehensive and rigorous professional education and related practical experience programme, both graduates now possess the leading edge professional skills required to excel in today's financial management environment.'' *** MCS Ltd. senior consultant Mr. Les Center is in the last stages of writing his doctoral thesis.

Mr. Center, who obtained his Masters degree in Computer Science, has spent 20 years working in the information systems industry in Bermuda.

With a membership grade of Certified Professional Member in the Computer Society of Bermuda, of which he is past president and director, Mr. Center's responsibilities at MCS since July include consulting, project management and other professional services.
