PLP offers special showing of ‘Selma’

The Progressive Labour Party is to host a special showing of Selma, the film nominated for Academy Award Best Picture.
The PLP has invited the public to celebrate Black History Month, along with the birthday of Party Leader Marc Bean, to the film about the 1965 Selma to Montgomery, Alabama marches for civil rights.
Selma will be shown at 8pm on February 19 at the Liberty Theatre in Union Square, with tickets at $20.
A second showing for students and seniors will be held at 10am on February 20.
There will also be a showing of Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Tough Love on February 18, at 10am.
Tickets for all showings are available at the PLP’s headquarters in Alaska Hall on Court Street, as well as at the Liberty Theatre or by calling 292-2264.
