Bermuda citizen ‘arrested in Guyana’
iNews Guyana is reporting that “a female citizen of Bermuda” was arrested at the South American country’s national airport on suspicion of ingesting narcotics.
The woman, who was not named in the report, is said to have “so far passed out a number of pellets that contained a total of 392 grams of cocaine”.
The online publication’s report said the arrest was made on Saturday by the Police Narcotics Branch at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
She was admitted under guard to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and has so far passed out a number of pellets that contained 392 grams of cocaine, said iNews Guyana.
The report added the woman remained at the hospital as investigations continue.
