Butterfield shares rise

A total of 44,940 shares worth $117,414 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX.
The Bank of Butterfield hit a 52-week high after 36,240 of its shares changed hands, leaving it at $2.05 — five cents (2.5 per cent) up.
Utilities firm Ascendant, the parent company of Belco, saw 7,000 of its shares move, leaving its price unchanged at $5.25.
Telecoms firm KeyTech also finished the day unchanged at $3.75 after 1,700 of its shares sold.
The index closed at 1391.38, 23.6 points (1.73 per cent) up on the day.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day 14.99 points (0.99 per cent) lower at 1504.64.
