Lambe extends stay at Mansfield
Reggie Lambe, the Bermuda midfielder, has signed an extended contract at Sky Bet League Two side Mansfield Town.
The short-term deal that Lambe penned in September was scheduled to expire but he will now remain at the One Call Stadium until the end of the season.
Lambe has made 13 appearances in all competitions and appears to be part of Mansfield manager Adam Murray’s plans, having shipped out five players and signed five others this week.
The 23-year-old had been on trial at League One side Bradford City in pre-season after a three-month stint at Swedish side Nyköpings.
He began his career with Championship side Ipswich Town and was given his debut by manager Roy Keane.
He had a loan spell at Bristol Rovers in 2011, who have since been relegation to the non-League, before joining Major League Soccer side Toronto FC, where he made 66 appearances, scoring five goals before being released.
Lambe, who made his Bermuda debut at the age of 16 against Saint Kitts and Nevis in 2007, has made 12 appearances for his country, scoring four goals.
Mansfield, who are nineteenth in the table, are away to Burton Albion tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Roger Lee, the Bermuda defender, looks set to leave Vanarama Conference South side Weston-super-Mare and sign for Conference North outfit Gloucester City.
It is understood that Lee will be sent out on loan by Gloucester City to gain match fitness.
