The life and works of Royal Gazette cartoonist Peter Woolcock were celebrated at a memorial service on New Year’s Eve held at St John’s Church.
Friends, family members, colleagues and associates joined to remember the much-loved illustrator, who died after a road traffic accident last month. The service, led by the Right Reverend Nicholas Dill, was also attended by Governor George Fergusson and his wife, Margaret. Mr Woolcock was a cartoonist for The Royal Gazette for more than two decades. He first arrived in Bermuda in 1981 and is best known for his work in nursery comics and as a political cartoonist.
