A Devonshire woman charged with trespassing, stealing and handling stolen goods will face a Magistrates’ Court trial after appearing in court this morning
Carla Hunte, 55, allegedly trespassed on a home in Fentons Drive in Pembroke, and stole jewellery worth more than $41,000 on a date unknown between August 23 and October 31.
She is also accused of handling stolen goods — a gold chain and earrings belonging to Carol Brown, on September 24.
Ms Hunte was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable. She elected to be tried in Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set bail at $5,000 with a surety of the same amount and a trial date was set for April 8.
