The Mayor of Hamilton has praised Government and the Bermuda Tourism Authority for helping to secure the America’s Cup.
Graeme Outerbridge pledged the Corporation of Hamilton’s full support for the event that will take place on the island in 2017.
“On behalf of the City of Hamilton and Council Members, it’s our pleasure to congratulate the hard work and efforts spent by our Government and Tourism Authority in Bermuda winning the bid to host the 35th Edition of the America’s Cup in 2017,” he said.
“The America’s Cup Event Authority and Local Organising Committee have the full support and assistance of the City for any necessary requirements.
To ensure the success of Bermuda as the host venue full support from our community is required.”
