Breaking News: Man in court charged with conspiring to shoot Yankee Rawlins
A Pembroke man was this morning charged with conspiring to shoot Raymond Troy ‘Yankee’ Rawlins.
Alvone Maybury appeared in Magistrates’ Court facing six charges. He was charged with having a firearm and bullets in his possession on December 16 last year.
Maybury was further charged with conspiring with Anthony Swan and others not before the courts to use a firearm to commit an indictable offence, carrying a firearm to commit an indictable offence, discharging a firearm and unlawfully shooting a loaded firearm at Mr. Rawlins with intent to do grievous bodily harm between December 12 and 16, last year. Maybury was remanded into custody.
Last month David Cox, of Club Road, was charged with the premeditated murder of Mr. Rawlins, and using a firearm to commit murder. Mr. Rawlins, 47, was shot in the entrance of the Spinning Wheel nightclub, on Court Street, on August 9.
