Get your office into good working order!
Professional organiser Cindy Swan is inviting executives and business owners to participate in an extreme office productivity makeover contest in support of National Get Organised Month.
January 2006 marks Get Organised Month, an annual event sponsored by the National Association Of Professional Organisers (NAPO) dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of getting organised.
As a member of NAPO Mrs. Swan organised the contest to highlight the benefits of an organised office environment and hiring a professional organiser. Apart from executives, administrative clerks or assistants are encouraged to enter the contest by rating their level of organising using the Productive Environment Scorecard and stating (in a hundred words) how a makeover can help them to be more organised and productive.
The winner will receive an Extreme Office Productivity Makeover, valued at more than $9,000 for their office, based on originality and need as described in their contest entry.
Managing director of Bermuda International Professional Organising Mrs Swan said an office reflected the quality of a company?s products and services. ?Years ago they said the computer age would eliminate paper and lead to the paperless office. With fax machines and e-mail more paper is being generated than in the past.?
?A lot of times we don?t know what to do with the paper we produce and your desk just get cluttered. I work on the premise that clutter is postponed decisions.?
Mrs. Swan said she used three basic methods to handle paper ? file it, act on it or toss it.
?Desk organisation is about putting tools where they are more accessible. A professional organiser can customise solutions, acting as organising consultants to find structure and solutions to everyday organising challenges.?
Mrs. Swan also known as the Paper Tiger Lady said a professional organiser would ergonomically make an office flow so that it could be more efficient. At the end the makeover session, Mrs. Swan guarantees the winner will have a more productive office environment so they can accomplish their work and enjoy their life.
