Teen quartet set for Fed Cup challenge
An all-teenage tennis quartet fly out to Puerto Rico today to represent Bermuda in the Americas Qualifying Group II tournament of the Fed Cup.
It's believed to be the youngest-ever Island side to have played in the annual team competition.
Youngest member of the squad is 15-year-old Ashley Brooks who along with 16-year-old Kara Fisher will be making her Fed Cup debut.
Also in the line-up is another of the Fisher triplets, Kara's sister Sasha, while having just turned 19, Zarah DeSilva will be the number one singles player.
Non-playing captain is Kelly Holland.
Bermuda will be hoping to fare better than they did a year ago in Cuba when they lost all of their five ties.
However, as of today they were still unsure of their opposition with 15 countries expected to be divided into four pools, each playing in a round-robin format.
