Somerset Bridge 60

St. David's 64-4

The East Enders found little resistance from Somerset Bridge at Lord's on Sunday, beating the eight-man visitors in a low scoring Twenty/20 contest to stretch their unbeaten run in the competition to eight matches, dating back to last year.

Defending champions and strong favourites to retain their title this season, St. David's required just 11.3 overs to dismiss their opponents, skipper Delyone Borden leading the attack with two wickets for five runs from 1.3 overs while fellow spinner Del Hollis claimed two wickets for 11 runs off two overs.

The only two Bridge bats showing any confidence at the crease were Donnie Charles with 25 and Shawn Riley with 19.

The champions raced to victory in just six overs although Bridge caused some concern by grabbing four wickets in the process. Justin Pitcher and Shea Pitcher teamed up for the fifth wicket to add stability, the former finishing undefeated on 23 and the latter not out on 21 when victory was reached.

Charles completed a solid day of cricket by leading the Bridge bowlers with a haul of three for 24 off three overs.

Warwick 174

Western Stars 161-6

Skipper Justin Robinson scored an undefeated 102 for Stars but his batting heroics still proved insufficient as his side lost to Warwick at Lord's.

It was a spirited chase by Robinson but he got little support from his team-mates. He struck 10 fours and four sixes.

Andre Burgess led the Warwick bowlers with two wickets for 20 runs from three overs as Stars batted their full 20 overs.

Earlier Lamar Caines topped the Warwick bats with a well played 52 not out while Andre Burgess followed on 32 and Lamar Richardson 27.

Maurice Lowe was the pick of the Stars bowling with two for 21 off two overs while Tre Manders took two for 31 off four overs.

Willow Cuts 116

Flatts 119-4

Flatts scored a surprising six-wicket victory over Cuts at Somerset, Regino Smith spearheading the visitors with a good all-round performance.

First Smith took three wickets for 21 off four overs and was chiefly responsible for the home side's dismissal in 19.1 overs. Sheroy Fubler was high man for the West Enders with 22.

Flatts reached victory in just 13 overs with Smith scoring 56. David Saltus was the main wicket taker for Cuts with three for 29 off four overs.

Somerset CC 165-4

Southampton Rangers 169-5

Azeem Pitcher hammered an impressive 104 but while his fine showing at the crease enabled Somerset to reach a challenging total, it couldn't prevent them from losing to the visitors.

Dwayne (Sluggo) Leverock claimed two for 29 for Rangers. Dion Stovell then cracked 58 to lead Rangers to victory. Young spinner Joshua Gilbert claimed two for 30 for Somerset.

Bailey's Bay 183

Devonshire Recreation Club 161-6

Wendell White ensured Bailey's Bay bounced back from the side's defeat on Saturday as he blasted 67 to guide Bay to a 22-run victory over Devonshire Rec. at the Rec.

Batting first, Bay scored 183 thanks largely to White. Oladapo Frederick took three for 36 for the hosts.

In reply, Devonshire came up 22 runs short of their target with Derek Brangman scoring 48 and Chris Foggo adding 42.

Irving Romaine led Bay's bowling with of two for 20.

Cleveland County 114

PHC 117-0

Dean Stephens showed why he is still one to fear in local cricket as he almost single-handedly ripped Cleveland County apart to lead PHC to a remarkable 10-wicket win at Police Field.

Batting first, Cleveland could only muster 114 before being bowled out with Stephens claiming three wicket while Kevin Young scored 31for Cleveland.

In response, Stephens smashed a swashbuckling 62 not out to lead the chase. Opening partner Jason Anderson chipped in with 39 not out as PHC didn't lose a wicket.

The match between Young Men's Social Club and Police was not played due to not enough players turning up for either side, while the St. George's and Leg Trappers match was also called off after Trappers informed their opponents they couldn't field a team.
