Two-time defending CellOne Elite City League champions Bluebirds kept their unbeaten streak intact after getting past previously unbeaten Fort Knox Panthers 49-41 at Somersfield Academy on Saturday night.Dion Bean led Bluebirds with 16 points while Sean Hutchinson replied with 13 for Panthers who kept the final scoreline respectable after trailing by as many as 22 points at one stage.Both teams were under strength with top scorers Kevin Stevens and Ronnie Bushner absent from Panthers’ line-up while Bluebirds were without key player Chris Crumpler.The weekend’s remaining contest saw Outback Sports Bar Outlaws cruise to a comfortable 65-45 win against struggling Trinity Sound Lions who remain winless this season.Graham Robinson poured in 21 points for Outlaws while Reggie Tolossa scored the same amount of points in a losing cause for Lions.CellOne Elite City League action continues on Wednesday night at Somersfield Academy where Lions take on Storm while league newcomers Robin Hood Warriors will face Outlaws.Action gets underway at 6:30pm.
