Teresa Perozzi has the chance to claim the WBA Super Middleweight belt when she fights Lorissa Rivas in Tobago on Friday. The 37-year-old hasn't fought since losing by unanimous decision to Christine Hammer in October, 2010, in Germany for the then vacant WBO middleweight title. It will be the second time Perozzi has fought for the WBC super middleweight title, having lost to Germany's Natascha Ragosina in her homeland in a fight for six belts in 2008.Perozzi, who has a 7-4-1 record, is almost four inches shorter Rivas who also lost her last bout in July by a split decision against fellow American Tori Nelson in Trinidad.Friday's fight was originally scheduled for Boxing Day, but was pushed back due to complications.
