Bermudian tipped to run the airport
A new airport General Manager is being groomed following the announcement that current head Jim Howes will step aside in two years.
The appointment of Aaron Adderley as General Manager designate of the Bermuda International Airport was announced yesterday at a Press conference hosted by Transport Minister Ewart Brown. Dr. Brown added Government was delighted ? after a long vigourous process ? to have chosen an individual with such a high level of ?knowledge and professionalism?.
Mr. Adderley, who assumes his duties in June, has over ten years experience in marketing, strategic planning and Government policy development in Tourism and Transport in a variety of capacities. He was a member of a negotiation team which thrashed out agreements with major airlines.
Mr. Howes, meanwhile, said he was confident that his working relationship with his successor-to-be would be a productive one and will go a long way to ensuring the airport is ?an even better, award-winning facility? in the future.
