New owner of Astwood Cove plans expansion
The Astwood Cove apartment complex has been sold, The Royal Gazette has learned.
Deirdre Hill, of newly-formed Astwood Cove Guest Apartments, bought the South Road, Warwick, property from Nigel Lewin in March.
Mr. Lewin, who ran the property for more than 20 years, will be kept on as a consultant, said Mrs. Hill, and in the long-term they are looking at expansion.
"We want to keep it as a family business, self-catering, offering value for money,'' said Mrs. Hill.
"It's the sort of place in Bermuda that continues to do well, notwithstanding the bleak outlook.'' Mrs. Hill said she would probably add on to the 20 apartment complex apartment, which also has a sauna and pool, some time in the future.
"The staff here are committed to providing an economical self-catering solution for people coming to Bermuda,'' she added.
