October 22, 2012Dear Sir,The PLP Government is stating they are the Government for the people. Which people? In the last two years thousands of people have lost their jobs. Those that could have left the Island causing a serious downturn in business. Every day more businesses are announcing they are closing or downsizing which mean more people will be unemployed.Students returning to Bermuda cannot find work. Many of those still working are underemployed. Residents cannot pay their mortgages or their rent and there are many empty apartments. Many elderly folk relied on rental income. In many cases this was their only income. Can Government please tell me which people they are for? And don’t try and tell me the economy has turned around.
