JUNIOR GOLF Steve Carruthers led the way with a six over par 76 as the senior groups of Bermuda Junior Golf Association competed at Belmont last weekend. Carruthers finished one shot up on BJ Payne in group five while J.Barritt carded a 78 for third.

In group four, C.Smith fired a 79, one better than N.Fenton with C.Markey a further two shots back on 82. Groups one, two and three all played at St.

George's where RJ Pachai went round in 76. C.Brown carded 77 and S.Durkin 78.

Group two action over 12 holes saw N.Dunkle and J.Butler fire 51 and W.Hill 56, while in group one C.DeSilva returned 44, A.Borland 48 and S.Roy 51.

Among the novices, who played at Southampton Princess, T.Burland carded 34 over nine holes, followed by J.Dillas (36) and D.Anderson (37).

SOCCER SOC Paget beat East End Primary 2-1 to win the A Division final of the primary school six-a-side tournament on Tuesday at Shelly Bay Field, while in the B Division, Elliott defeated St. David's in a sudden death penalty shootout.

Teams in the A Division were East End, Somerset Primary, Paget Primary, Dellwood and Victor Scott while the B Division was made up of St. David's Primary, Somerset Primary, Gilbert Institute, Saltus Grammar and Elliott.

Victor Scott won the A Division last year and Somerset Primary the B title.
