Business Bermuda to host NYC conference

Business Bermuda has announced it will be holding the Bermuda Financial Services Conference at the Harvard Club in New York on October 5.Featured this year will be two concurrent breakfast sessions: one on re/insurance and the second on asset management. Business Bermuda chairman David Cash and Janita Burke will be putting together the insurance session with the re/insurance committee and Craig Bridgewater, Jessel Mendes and Richard Irvine will be running the asset management session.A plenary session on offshoring which will include a panel comprising the Bermuda Monetary Authority CEO Jeremy Cox and assistant financial secretary Pamela Burrows is also planned.Meanwhile Premier Paula Cox will be the keynote luncheon speaker on one of the days and Tourism and Business Development Minister Patrice Minors will also take part in a panel on tourism.The afternoon sessions will focus on trusts, moderated by Randall Krebs, private wealth management, aircraft and shipping (moderated by Stephen Woodward), capital markets (moderated by the Bermuda Stock Exchange CEO Greg Wojciechowski), convergence, infrastructure and labour issues, hotel development and tourism, and domestic insurers and their offerings.
