Bermuda National Gallery Youth Camera Action will be operating it’s school term programme until November 12. The photography programme is for middle school students aged 11 to 14. Exhibit Impressions of Bermuda: The David L White Gift to The Bermuda National Gallery celebrates the gift of 51 paintings from the gallery’s Chairman Emeritus, Trustee and ambassador for the arts. On display are 46 of the 77 works of art donated by Mr White. Free public tours are available every Thursday at 10.30am with a BNG Docent. The exhibit features scenery, landscapes and people in landscapes across the Island. She has been painting scenes from Reid Street, to John Smith’s Bay and sunsets in St George’s. Ms Wishart will also be holding two workshops one on oil painting at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art on September 21. Another will take place in St George’s on September 25. She will discuss her inspiration, process and technique when oil painting. Please call Masterworks at 299-4000 to book a spot for the workshops in advance. ‘A Life at Sea’ celebrates the extraordinary life and work of Captain Magnus Musson, the last Captain of the Queen of Bermuda, will be on display until the end of September. ‘A Rock and an Ocean’ highlights the past 25 years of collecting art will be on display in the Butterfield Main Gallery until the end of September, while local artists and other special shows will rotate in the Rick Faries Gallery. Lynn Morrell is one of the principle figures in contemporary Bermudian craft.
